Hello Steck Stars!
I am excited to join the Steck family this year teaching 5th grade Literacy and Social Studies. Although this is my first year at Steck, I have been in education for 28 years, with the last nine years here in DPS. I have a Masters Degree in Reading and Literacy, along with a Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and I’m currently working on acquiring an endorsement in Culturally and Linguictially Diverse Education (CLDE). I love learning and modeling that for my students. One of my cornerstone beliefs is the importance of building relationships with students, families, and colleagues. I am looking forward to getting to know all the new fifth graders, their families, and the Steck team.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy a slow morning with coffee, spending time with my family and two children (19 and 21), traveling, reading, working my golf game, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
