Hi Steck Families!
I am so excited to be part of the first grade team at Steck Elementary! This is my 13th year as a teacher, and I continue to feel just as passionate about working with young students as I did on day one. Watching the little learners explore and excel at new skills is the one of the best parts of teaching. I love being a part of their journey as they grow and discover new things each day.
I’m originally from just outside of Chicago, but I moved to Colorado for college and quickly knew this was home. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Psychology and my Elementary Education license. In 2020, I earned my Master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education—also from CU Boulder.
I live nearby in the Hale neighborhood with my lively little crew: a dog, two cats, and a tortoise! When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends, trying new restaurants, reading and enjoying time outdoors.
I feel so lucky to be part of the warm and welcoming Steck community. I’m really looking forward to an incredible year of learning, laughter, and connection with my students and their families!
