Hey Steck stars! This year I am joining the team and teaching music classes. This will be my 10th year teaching and 8th in DPS. I grew up in Colorado and studied Music Education and Music Performance at Metro State. I love hiking, biking, gardening, and exploring our state with my partner Ian and our son Nathan. We also have two cats named Sushi and Percy.
My musical background includes anime and video game conventions, brass bands, marching bands, drum corps, rock bands, concerto competitions, symphony orchestras, wind ensembles, busking, percussion ensembles, composing, and sound design. I love learning, listening, performing, and sharing music with others live, produced, and in the media we enjoy. Fun fact: the instrument I want to learn more about currently is the theremin.
