The Steck Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) fills a number of roles in ensuring all students at Steck receive a strong and enriching education, experience a supportive and caring community and are enriched by extracurricular experiences. We coordinate a great deal of programs of many varieties and welcome all parents to find the best fit for giving to our children through volunteering.

The PTSA, in addition to supporting many programs and activities at our school, is responsible for fundraising. Our membership drive, book fair, dollar-a-day program, annual silent auction and end of school walk and carnival are the means by which we support many programs including:

• Paraprofessionals and classroom size relief teachers
• “Mini Grants” for teachers to use for classroom education, field trips, materials, etc.
• Library and classroom reading materials
• Reading Intervention professional
• The continual upgrading and beautification of our playground and school grounds
• The creation and distribution of the school newsletter and electronic communication
• Sock Hop, International Night, Back to School Ice Cream Social, First Day of School Coffee and Cry and the Science Fair

All members of the Steck community are invited to attend our meetings which are typically held at 8:20 a.m. in the school cafeteria on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
