5th Grade is a time of many transitions and changes. Students are excited to be leaders and plan for middle school but also experience anxiety over leaving the safety of elementary school. Many parents want to know about applying for and selecting a middle school that is a good fit for their child.
On October 15 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Steck will host a DPS Middle School Info Night for all current 4th and 5th grade Steck families. The goal is to better inform parents about Denver’s middle school options and the new DPS choice process. Staff members from some of the District Middle Schools, Steck parents and their students who are now attending DPS middle schools will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss their experiences. Hill, Morey, Hamilton, DCIS, and DSA will be represented. We hope to see you and your child there. A summary of the meeting information will be sent to all 5th grade parents, as we know that the timing may not work for all parents.
