Field Day!!
It is that time of the year again. The Steck Field Day will take place on Friday, May 10th. Primary students, ECE-2nd will have Field Day from 8:45am to 11:00am and then recess/lunch from 11am-12:00pm. Secondary students, in 3rd-5th grades, will have will have recess/lunch from 12:00pm-1:00pm, and then have Field Day from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Black Jack Pizza Lunch will be $3.00 for Adults and must be prepaid in the office before Monday May 6. Student BlackJack Pizza lunch will cost $1.45 and can be charged to the students lunch account. You can NOT use your child’s lunch account to buy an adult lunch. Also, please make sure your child has the funds available in their account before Field Day.

Continue reading »]]> Every spring the Steck PTA organizes an auction and gala to raise funds for our school. The revenues from the auction help pay for paraprofessional educators, class size relief teachers and student enrichment experiences. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and a fun social event too!!  Please plan to attend and consider filling a volunteer need.  All the hard work of our PTA volunteers makes this event possible.

  • Save the Date!  This year’s gala will be held March 9, 2013, at 6:00-10:00pm at the McNichols Building in Civic Center Park.  Come and enjoy food, drinks and live music.
  • There will be a “silent auction” during the gala, featuring a variety of parent-hosted parties, classroom projects and many other fun items for sale.
  • There will also be a “live auction” featuring premium auction items donated by Steck families and other supporters.

Steck Elementary would like to welcome families who are anticipating enrolling their child entering ECE or Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year, to our Open House. Our Open House will be conducted by our Principal and tours will be offered by our PTA volunteers.

It is highly recommended that no children attend this event. The Open House will start promptly at 9am and end at 10:30 am on Friday, December 14th. If you are unable to attend, look for more tours coming up in December and January. Be sure to reserve your spot below, one per family. We look forward to meeting you!

Steck will be hosting school tours on the following dates at 9:00 AM. These dates are not set up as a formal Open House, they are tours for families who are anticipating moving into the Steck boundry area and enrolling their child or for 2013-2014 Choice Enrollment.
